Stump Removal

Stump Grinding

The stump can be ground down to 6” or 15” below ground level. Unless otherwise specified the wood chip is then used to fill the hole and left as a raised mound where the stump once was.

Stump Poisoning

The stump is cut to 2” above soil-level, a groove is then cut around the cambium layer. This groove is then filled with diluted glyphosate to prevent any regrowth.

With this method the stump will decay naturally but very slowly.

To speed this process nitrogen and water or “stump remover” can be applied to the stump. Advice on how to do this can be given or the whole process carried out as part of the job.
